I like to draw. I have always been a doodler, but sometime in the mid 2000s, I decided to really try and learn. I started with Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and really worked it like a college course. I could see dramatic improvement almost right away, which was wonderfully motivating.
I've been practicing and improving since, mostly with pencil. However, I was very meticulous and slow. I had to get everything just right before committing. I did a lot of erasing and redrawing. In 2016 I took some classes with Ms Jo Claire at The Art School. She pushed me to use pen and ink as a way of forcing me to "not be so precious" with my drawings. I fell in love with the medium, and it's mostly what I use these days. Here is a small collection of some of my stuff.
